A Motivational Story of how Udkhanda village in Uttarakhand had redeveloped? Udkhanda is a village in Tehri Garhwal district, famous for the Chipko and Bija Bachao Andolan of Uttarakhand state, surrounded by high mountains. The people of this village have set a unique example of self-reliance for the rest of the Indian villages. The dwellers of Udkhanda village had migrated to urban for better jobs due to a shortage of water supply and ruined farmlands and husbandry. But just ten families decided not to get going outside and were determined to rehabilitate the province. many villagers of Uttarakhand started animal farming of goats. उत्तराखंड के उदखंडा गाँव के विकास और आत्मनिर्भरता की प्रेरक कहानी। उत्तराखंड राज्य के चिपको और बीज बचाओ आंदोलन के लिए प्रख्यात टिहरी गढ़वाल जिला मे बसा हुआ उदखंडा गाँव ऊंचे पहाड़ो से घिरा हुआ है। इस गाँव के लोगो ने आत्मनिर्भरता का एक नायाब द्रष्टांत प्रस्तुत किया है। उत्तराखंड के अन्य गाँव वासियो को इसका अनुकरण करना चाहिए। सिर्फ उत्तराखंड ही नहीं समग्र भारत देश के ऐसे गाँव जो वीरान होते चले जा रहे है उनके लिए भी यह एक अनुकरणीय द्रष्टांत है। कुछ वर्ष पहले उदखंडा गाँव मे करीब 140 परिवार बसे हुए थे। लेकिन बंजर जमीन के कारण यह गाँव धीरे धीरे खाली होता गया । सिर्फ 10 परिवार ही गाँव मे अकेले रह गये जो किसी भी हाल में अपना गाँव छोड़ना नही चाहते थे। इन परिवार के लोगो ने हामी भर कर फिर से गाँव को आबाद करने का फैसला किया। Click here for English Post. एक सहकारी मण्डल बनाय गाँव के मुखियाँ विनोद कोठियाल के मार्गदर्शन से गाँव वालो ने पांच लाख का चंदा इकट्ठा कर के एक सहकारी मण्डल बनाया जिसका नाम रखा: 'हेवल घाटी
