        Surat is a commercial city situated in South Gujarat, India. It is the main center of the diamond industries famous internationally. Many family groups like Gajera, Savani, and others have established the diamond industry. These groups are also active on the front of social welfare and reformation.

        Vasant Bhai Gajera - known as 'DADA' which means grand-pa is doing many social activities in health and education. Shri Vasantbhai Haribhai Gajera (68 yo) is from a farmer's family in Amreli. He joined the Diamond Industry in Surat in 1968, where he worked hard and acquired complete know-how of the diamond industry, and launched the Laxmi Diamond Pvt. Ltd. Company at Surat in 1972.



Foundation of Gajera Trust:

        Shri Vasant Bhai, in memory of his mother, founded Smt Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust is operating 09 campuses, 17 schools, 7 Engineering colleges, a medical college, and Vatsalyadham (home for the disadvantaged) in Gujarat, making the lives of more than 50000 students prosperous.

        Vatsalyadham is an institute for social welfare founded in 2006 and managed by the Gajera group. Today the institute is looking after more than 800 orphan students for their living and study. Vatsalyadham has provided accommodations, and all the necessary amenities for the homeless and needy children, regardless of their caste, race, and religion. The institute has established on 40 acres of land. The campus has provided the facilities like a computer lab, library, playground, basketball court, and hostel. Children can study up to 12th standard; moreover, the institute does many cultural activities for their personality development. After completion of tenure, children can look ahead to a prosperous future.
