A journey from love to expensive malls:
Urmila married about 13 years ago, but her family and community boycotted them, though they started a new life together. They were living in the Vadaj area of Ahmedabad on rent to live happily. However, they encountered a financial crisis due to the closure of Kamlesh's job during the Corona period. During this period, Kamlesh developed medical problems and soon passed away. Urmila's condition worsened after Kamlesh's death.
Becoming of a rickshaw driver:
After Kamlesh's death, Urmila started driving a rickshaw to manage household expenses and secure her children's future. She first got a rickshaw license by selling gold earrings.
She is raising two children while managing the family's finances by driving a rickshaw until midnight.
Why is she a favorite rickshaw driver of Police Staff?:
One day, Urmila picked up some passengers stranded in the rain at a stand and took them to the Shahibaug police quarters. Since that day, she has become a reliable source of support for many women police personnel. Known as a trusted rickshaw driver, especially in the Ranip and Shahibaug areas, Urmila is always ready to help. Nowadays, if any woman police officer calls her for a rickshaw at night or early in the morning, she responds immediately.

Thus, Urmila's experiences have many good and bad moments. Some passengers try to harass her, and sometimes younger passengers behave indecently. However, Urmila stops them and drops them to their place.
The parents' resentment towards him.:
The saddest aspect for Urmila is that her parents still refuse to accept her as their daughter in their home. Even though they live on the opposite side of the river, there is no communication between them. Urmila is eager to bridge this gap, but her parents' beliefs are becoming a significant obstacle.

Today, Urmila earns 12,000 to 13,000 rupees monthly and manages the household. After paying off the loan for the rickshaw, she aims to move forward with her dream of providing a better future for her children. Urmila Gohil is not just a female rickshaw driver but is a living inspiration who faces life's toughest challenges with resilience. Her journey is a testament to her courage and passion.
