Coming to Surat and selling pickle bottles for a year,he started a small shop afterward with the help of a friend, Maganbhai Mokani (contractor), in Baroda Priestess Extension, on Varachha Road in Surat. He got good support from brother Rajesh and his family in this courage. Apart from the bottle of pickles, Shivabhai started selling more items such as Cup-Rakabi, Glass Ware, Kitchen Ware, Plastic Ware, Home Appliances, Thermoware, etc. His business has prospered.
Got a new business idea after the foreign Tour:
Shivabhai became financially prospered, running the shop for almost 17 years, and one day the sum of a trip abroad to Thailand happened. Visiting Thailand, he saw and understood the new method of self-service in marketing. At that time, this method was new for the people of Surat. However, today, every mall has adopted the same manner. The customers themselves select the items from the mall and pay the bill on the counter. After returning from Thailand, in 2001, Shivabhai purchased the land and started a supermarket with the concept of self-service, which people liked very much. The name of this venture was 'Metro Super Market.'
